We share data with third-party service providers who help us operate the Platform:

6. Wallet & Financial Data

6.1. Not a Bank or Financial Institution

  • Wallet balances represent stored value for platform use only
  • Funds are NOT FDIC insured or government-backed
  • Funds do not earn interest or dividends
  • Blaque Net does not provide banking, lending, or investment services

6.2. Financial Data We Collect

  • Wallet transaction history (tips, subscriptions, purchases, payouts)
  • Payment method information (last 4 digits, expiration date, billing ZIP code)
  • Payout account details (bank account or PayPal email for withdrawals)
  • Tax information (SSN, EIN for 1099 reporting if you earn $600+/year)
  • Transaction metadata (timestamps, amounts, currency, merchant/recipient)

6.3. How We Process Payments

All payment processing is handled by third-party processors:

  • Stripe: Credit/debit card processing, ACH transfers, payouts
  • PayPal: Alternative payment method and payouts
  • Plaid: Bank account verification for direct deposits

We do NOT store:

  • Full credit/debit card numbers
  • CVV/CVC security codes
  • Full bank account numbers

Security: Payment data is encrypted using industry-standard protocols (TLS/SSL). Sensitive cardholder data is tokenized and stored securely by payment processors in PCI DSS-compliant environments.

6.4. Tax Reporting

If you earn $600 or more in a calendar year through tips, subscriptions, or marketplace sales, we are required by law to:

  • Issue Form 1099-K or 1099-NEC to you and the IRS
  • Report earnings to federal and state tax authorities as required

7. Marketplace & Third-Party Transactions

Platform-Only Status: Blaque Net provides a marketplace that connects buyers and independent sellers. We are NOT a party to transactions between buyers and sellers.

We Do NOT:

  • Verify product quality, accuracy, or legality
  • Guarantee delivery, refunds, or seller performance
  • Store or process payment data for marketplace transactions (handled by sellers or payment processors)
  • Assume liability for disputes between buyers and sellers

Privacy Implications:

  • Sellers may collect your shipping address, phone number, and payment information directly
  • Blaque Net cannot control how sellers use or protect your data
  • Review seller privacy practices before making purchases

Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" settings. Currently, there is no industry standard for responding to DNT signals. Blaque Net does not alter its data collection practices in response to DNT signals, but you can use the opt-out mechanisms described in Section 4.3.


9. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the Platform and fulfill our obligations
  • Comply with legal requirements (tax records, transaction logs, legal holds)
  • Resolve disputes and enforce agreements
  • Prevent fraud and abuse
  • Maintain backup and disaster recovery systems

Retention Periods by Data Type:

  • Account Data: Retained while your account is active + 90 days after deletion (unless required by law)
  • Transaction Data: 7 years (for tax compliance and fraud prevention)
  • Content (Posts, Messages): Retained until you delete + 30 days in backups
  • Log Data: 90 days (unless needed for investigations)
  • Analytics Data: Aggregated data retained indefinitely (anonymized)
  • Marketing Data: Until you opt out or request deletion

Account Deletion: When you delete your account:

  • Your profile and content are removed from public view immediately
  • Data is permanently deleted from active systems within 90 days
  • Backup copies may persist for up to 180 days

No system is 100% secure. While we use industry-standard security practices, we cannot guarantee absolute protection against all unauthorized access, hacking, data loss, or security breaches. You use the Platform at your own risk.

Data Breach Notification:

In the event of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will:

  • Notify affected users via email within a reasonable timeframe
  • Post a notice on the Platform if legally required
  • Report the breach to regulatory authorities as required by law
  • Provide information about the breach and steps you can take to protect yourself

11. International Data Transfers

Blaque Net is based in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

For transfers of personal data from the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland to the U.S., we rely on:
